Erik Solheim (UN Environment Global Chief) Visits CIAL

The United Nations Environment Global Chief, Erik Solheim visited Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) to endorse solar project.

United Nations is happy to recognise CIAL as the world's first airport fully powered by solar energy. CIAL is a pioneer in using alternative energy sources where the power requirement is very high. This initiative of CIAL can be followed by other airports and countries as well, he noted. UN is considering to endorse solar project of Cochin International Airport Limited, says Erik Solheim, the UN Environment Global Chief. He was talking to the media after visiting the solar panels at CIAL.
